Chapter One: Transmigrated Into the Tycoon’s Phone
"Chi Yu, go to hell!"
Accompanied by a woman's cold and vicious voice, a pair of hands suddenly appeared behind Chi Yu and shoved her forward with all their might.
Lured unsuspectingly to the edge of the yacht, Chi Yu was violently pushed off by the other woman.
The railing broke; her body flew outward, giving her not even a moment's chance to react, before she plunged into the sea with a heavy splash.
Chi Yu was a landlubber—she couldn't swim.
After falling into the water, she instinctively began to struggle, but was quickly enveloped by the frigid, bone-chilling sea, a suffocating sense of impending death washing over her.
Never in her life had Chi Yu imagined that she would one day be pushed into the sea and drowned by the childhood friend she'd grown up with.
In her fading consciousness, she seemed to hear Chen Jiazh—panicked and shouting from the yacht above:
"Somebody! Help! My best friend fell overboard!"
...
When Chi Yu next regained awareness, it was to the sound of a strange man's voice disturbing her.
"President Shen, this is the contract to be signed this afternoon. Please have a look."
The office's calm was broken by this voice.
Chi Yu held her breath, careful not to make any sudden movements.
As a seasoned online novel ghostwriter, she quickly analyzed the situation with her rigorous novelist's logic.
Had she crossed over after falling into the sea?
Had she become the president of some company?
Before Chi Yu could think further, she heard another cold, deep, and composed voice speak from above her: "Leave it on the desk."
Chi Yu: ...
Her eyes shot open. Above her was a ceiling as white as snow. When she glanced to the side, there was a man's sharp and well-defined jaw—so close it startled her.
The man was strikingly handsome, with chiseled features, dressed in a perfectly tailored dark suit. His posture was upright, his entire demeanor distant and noble.
He sat at his desk reviewing documents, a pen in his hand, his slender fingers strong and distinct.
The man, head lowered and absorbed in his work, wore an expression of focused seriousness, his gaze indifferent. But beneath him, Chi Yu was inwardly shrieking like a startled marmot.
!!!
What was going on here!
They were so close—what kind of position were she and this stranger in?
And why was her perspective so odd?
With her mind full of questions, Chi Yu desperately wanted to get away, only to discover, to her shock, that she seemed uncommonly agile, yet no matter how she tried to run, she remained rooted in place.
Unable to resist, she looked down to figure out her current state, but her vision turned pitch black—she couldn't see a thing.
Huh?
She panicked, thinking she had gone blind.
She looked up—there was the bright, snowy ceiling again, and to the side was the stern-faced CEO engrossed in his contract.
Look down again—still nothing but darkness.
It seemed her eyes could only see within a fixed range.
Chi Yu: ... This was truly uncanny.
Forcing herself to calm down, Chi Yu replayed the events in her mind.
She was an orphan, raised in an orphanage, who had finished her university education this year thanks to government support and generous donations.
Chen Jiazh, just like her, had grown up in the same orphanage—a friend of over twenty years, closer than a sister, sharing everything.
When she was pushed into the sea, Chi Yu's mind hadn't processed it; there was no time to think. Now, reviewing the events with a calm mind, she quickly came to a conclusion: Chen Jiazh had done it on purpose!
She had deliberately invited her out to sea, deliberately had her pose for a photo on deck, deliberately led her to the very spot where the railing had been tampered with!
And finally, she pushed her overboard—taking her life!
To Chi Yu, Chen Jiazh had always been her best friend; they had supported and encouraged each other growing up, with hardly a quarrel between them, let alone any hatred.
But now, in a society ruled by law, any crime, once discovered, must face its consequences.
What could Chen Jiazh possibly want, to risk severe punishment just to see her dead?
Chi Yu couldn't understand.
Children raised in orphanages were like wild grass growing from cracks in stone—tough and fiercely protective of their lives.
After enduring so many hardships, Chi Yu had finally glimpsed hope, only to have it all destroyed by Chen Jiazh's shove. More than twenty years of effort wasted, and her life lost as well.
No matter how close they once were, from the moment Chen Jiazh pushed her, in Chi Yu's mind, she had become nothing but a murderer.
Chi Yu was desperate to understand her current situation.
She already suspected that she was no longer in her original body.
Or perhaps, she was no longer even human.
After some covert investigation, Chi Yu realized her situation was truly bizarre. She seemed to have no body—like a puddle of water trapped in some enclosed space.
Her only sense was sight, and even that was limited: she could only see the ceiling above and the man at an angle.
What exactly had she become?
While Chi Yu was pondering this, a ringtone suddenly sounded.
The source… it seemed to be coming from within her.
But she clearly hadn't spoken—let alone started singing!
Eyes wide open, Chi Yu was at a loss.
She had remained silent to avoid alerting the man before her.
The man, with his cold, stern features, clearly heard the sound too. He set his documents aside, his gaze icy as he glanced in her direction, then reached out his hand.
When the man held her up to his ear and began speaking with someone else, Chi Yu finally understood her predicament.
...
She had not become the domineering CEO.
She had become the CEO's cell phone!
