Chapter 9: The Arrival of the Tree Realm

Following the same process as before, the three versions of Chu Yang were briefly in the palace before being engulfed by mist. When they awoke again, they had returned to their respective worlds.
In the pirate world, Chu Yang was on a pirate ship, receiving cheers from the crew. In the magic world, he was preparing to enter a new school.
In the world of ninjas, a massive war capable of changing the entire ninja world's landscape was about to erupt.
At this time, the countries had not yet established ninja villages; it was an era dominated by clans, marked by chaos and warfare. Among the ninja world, the two most prestigious clans were mobilizing their forces, preparing for a decisive battle.
The Senju Clan.
The Uchiha Clan.
The war between these two clans had lasted many years; in a sense, their conflict was the history of the ninja world itself.
As the war dragged on, the frontlines stretched ever longer, increasing the demand for supplies.
Just returning from the Soul Palace, Chu Yang immediately received orders from his clan to join a small squad tasked with sniping at the Uchiha clan’s logistics units.
This had almost become routine in this war.
The Senju’s logistics were frequently ambushed by the Uchiha as well.
Both sides retaliated back and forth, gradually adapting to these raids. Awareness grew, turning these surprise attacks into a contest of reconnaissance and counter-reconnaissance.
Chu Yang’s squad had chased the enemy logistics unit across the plains for two full days before finally pinpointing their location.
Night fell, and the Uchiha logistics camped downstream by a small river, while Chu Yang’s squad lay in ambush in the nearby woods.
“The Sharingan of the Uchiha Clan, though inferior to the Hyuga’s Byakugan in reconnaissance, still possesses formidable observational powers,” the captain repeatedly cautioned the squad members.
“When we move, make sure to control your chakra flow carefully. We must not alert the enemy.”
The captain’s warnings were for a very young group, most of whom had little experience fighting the Uchiha. Among them was even a boy who had just joined the war.
The captain’s gaze lingered on Chu Yang before he secretly shook his head; someone so young and inexperienced on the battlefield was the most vulnerable to sacrifice.
Under the cloak of darkness, the squad silently slipped into the river, slowly swimming toward the enemy camp.
Chu Yang, bringing up the rear, sensed something was wrong.
The number of enemy guards was sparse, failing to cover the camp’s perimeter fully, especially along the riverside, where there was not a single shadow.
Moreover, the camp was eerily quiet, as if everyone inside had fallen into a deep sleep.

Such behavior was extremely dangerous in the wild.
Chu Yang wanted to warn the captain, but the latter was far ahead, leading the squad, separated by a great distance.
Only after they reached shore did Chu Yang find the chance to whisper his concerns to the captain, but the captain, seeing Chu Yang’s youth, dismissed them.
Chu Yang sighed; since persuasion was futile, he would just have to be extra cautious.
The captain quietly slipped into one of the tents.
The other squad members scattered around, waiting for the captain’s signal to strike and eliminate the resting Uchiha clan members.
But the signal never came. Instead, a piercing scream shattered the silence!
Disaster!
Simultaneously, fires flared up on all sides, illuminating the entire camp, black figures swarming everywhere—it was a full assembly of Uchiha ninjas!
The next moment...
Chu Yang saw the captain dragged out of the tent like a dead dog by the Uchiha.
They had walked right into an ambush!
“Find a way to break out!”
Someone shouted suddenly, and many ninjas, panic-stricken, scattered in different directions.
“Fools! Splitting up now is suicide—the enemy has been ready, waiting with traps!” Chu Yang shouted furiously.
As expected, those who tried to flee were cut down by the hidden enemies.
Those still left quickly realized the situation and regrouped around Chu Yang’s position.
“Attack!”
The Uchiha leader clearly did not want to give their opponents any breathing room.
A fierce battle erupted.
After a few skirmishes, Chu Yang realized these enemies were no mere logistics troops; their strength was formidable from the start.
This so-called logistics unit had been a lure all along!
“We will make the Senju Clan pay!”
The Uchiha had come well-prepared, overwhelming Chu Yang’s side both in strength and numbers. They quickly gained the upper hand.
However—
The Uchiha had miscalculated.
Chu Yang, freshly returned from the Soul Palace, had seen his innate abilities surge to three times their previous level.

His mastery of Wood Release and the amount of chakra he now possessed barely allowed him to unleash parts of a secret-level Wood Release jutsu.
As the Senju forces faltered, Chu Yang stepped forward, forming hand seals.
The earth trembled.
Countless robust trees burst from the ground, rapidly forming a vast sea of trees that enveloped the Uchiha clan members.
[Wood Release: Advent of the Tree World]
This was the only secret technique Chu Yang knew, though not in its complete form, for even if he drained all his chakra, this jutsu was only half as potent as the original.
It resembled a lower-tier version of “Sea of Trees” used by Yamato.
Its power did not reach secret technique level, standing somewhere between S-rank and A-rank.
Even so, it was more than enough to deal with the Uchiha ninjas present.
Under Chu Yang’s control, the entire forest became a ravenous demon, continuously strangling and imprisoning the Uchiha clan members.
They were swallowed by the tree sea, with no ground to stand on; every spot they stood had become a battlefield.
Among the Uchiha were many experts proficient in Fire Release techniques. They refused to surrender and unleashed torrents of fire, hoping to burn down the forest.
They clearly underestimated the power of Wood Release.
The flames could not keep pace with the forest’s rapid regeneration.
No matter how hard they tried, they were inevitably overwhelmed by the endless sea of trees, plunging them into despair.
And this was only the incomplete version of [Advent of the Tree World]!
The enemy was utterly suppressed, and the Senju forces seized the opportunity to counterattack!
With help from other Senju clan members, most of the Uchiha were slaughtered within the forest. In the blink of an eye, the tide of battle had turned in Chu Yang’s favor.
This was the might of Wood Release on the battlefield, capable of determining the outcome of a minor war!
After the Wood Release rampage, the remaining enemies fled under Chu Yang’s terrifying intimidation. Exhausted, Chu Yang did not pursue.
The surviving Senju clan members gathered around him, their faces filled with gratitude.
“Yang! Thanks to you, we would have all died here otherwise!”
“I never thought you’d have the Wood Release of the First Hokage!”
“I heard the First Hokage took in a group of young disciples and taught them his unique Wood Release techniques. Could you be one of them?”
The clan members stared at Chu Yang in astonishment.
