Ming Yue had said there was no finding out where the problem lay through ordinary conversation, so they had to change methods.

This room was a place in the tower where polluted spirit-bearers were calmed and cleansed.

Some spirit-bearers, while on missions, were accidentally tainted by malignant forces. Their minds and souls could be damaged, and if the association judged that they could not recover on their own, they would be sent here.

Within this chamber, all corruption could be washed away, and one might return to normal once more.

The cleansing, however, was agonizing. Again and again they would be forced to relive the moment they were tainted, to face the fear and pain of that time, until every last trace of corruption was gone.
