That day, Chen Zhe endured torment in the recording studio, rerecording the song two or three times before finally finishing it. The day after the Korean version of "Melody" was completed, Kim Ji-seok brought Bae Shik-hee along to meet with Chen Zhe. The three of them reached an agreement, confirming the recording of the Mandarin version of "Melody."

Kim Ji-seok was responsible for persuading the board of directors; Chen Zhe and Bae Shik-hee only needed to focus on recording the Mandarin version of "Melody." After all, this was a rare opportunity for LOEN Company to break into the Chinese market.

A few days passed after Chen Zhe finished recording the Mandarin version of "Melody," and before he knew it, July 4th had arrived. Preparations for shooting the MV were almost complete.

Now, only a few days remained before the press conference to launch the filming of "Reply 1997." After the conference, Chen Zhe would officially join the crew for shooting.

Today happened to be the day the MV would be filmed. Early in the morning, Han Ze-lu and his team brought Chen Zhe to the set. He watched as a crowd of staff bustled about, still groggy from sleep and unsure what to do.

At that moment, a black van slowly pulled into the set. Seeing the van, Chen Zhe guessed who had arrived—it must be his leading lady.

After the van found a parking spot and stopped, Chen Zhe walked briskly over, ready to greet his heroine, his close friend.

"Hey, Zhe! Haven't seen you in days!" When the van door opened, a tall woman wearing sunglasses stepped out. At the first sight of her, Chen Zhe froze in place.

"Noona, why is it you? Isn't it supposed to be Soo-jung?" The person stepping out was none other than Choi Soo-young, the genuine Korean noona Chen Zhe recognized.

"That's right, I'm your leading lady. Surprised, aren't you?" Seeing Chen Zhe's shocked expression, Choi Soo-young was very pleased. She walked over, patted his shoulder, her tone tinged with laughter.

"S-surprise... Yes, I'm very surprised!" Choi Soo-young truly startled him. Chen Zhe stammered, secretly plotting to settle accounts with Kim Ji-seok and Han Ze-lu after filming—they dared trick him, and he would surely seek revenge.

"Soo-young unnie, why did you rush out so quickly!" As Chen Zhe was still rattled by Choi Soo-young, lost in his thoughts, a soft female voice came from inside the van.

Hearing the voice, Chen Zhe paused, recognizing it immediately. He had been chatting a lot recently with its owner. He glanced at Choi Soo-young in surprise, as if he understood something.

"Aren't you going to escort your leading lady?" Seeing Chen Zhe still staring at her, Choi Soo-young laughed heartily and gently pushed him forward.

After being nudged, Chen Zhe turned, surprised as he looked at Choi Soo-young, only to see her clench her fists and make a gesture to cheer him on.

Watching her, Chen Zhe shook his head helplessly, but didn’t hesitate any longer. He stepped forward to the rear door.

"Good morning, Miss Leading Lady!" Seeing Jung Soo-jung about to step out, Chen Zhe adopted a gentlemanly manner, courteously offering his hand.

"Yes, good morning, Mr. Leading Man!" Jung Soo-jung paused for a moment, then smiled, taking Chen Zhe’s hand as she stepped out of the van.

Choi Soo-young, witnessing the scene, nodded in satisfaction. Her brother was no blockhead after all; he did have a sense of romance. Her efforts to create this opportunity had not been in vain.

"Noona, Soo-jung, why did you both come together today?" After leading Jung Soo-jung over to Choi Soo-young, Chen Zhe finally remembered—it was supposed to be Jung Soo-jung coming alone today, so why had his noona come as well?

"Soo-jung’s here to shoot the MV today. Jessica was a bit worried, so she wanted to accompany her. Just as we were about to leave, Jessica was suddenly called away for a last-minute schedule." Choi Soo-young shrugged helplessly.

"So, why did you end up coming, noona?" Chen Zhe still looked puzzled.

"Because I happened to be the only one without a schedule today, Jessica asked me to accompany Soo-jung. Plus, it’s been a while since I’ve seen you, Zhe, so I agreed!" Choi Soo-young rose slightly on tiptoe, patting Chen Zhe’s shoulder in her big-sisterly way.

"Yes, I’m really grateful to Soo-young unnie for coming with me, though I do think her worry is a bit unnecessary!" Jung Soo-jung first cast Choi Soo-young a grateful glance, then sighed helplessly.

"Hahaha, it’s just your sister caring for you!" Choi Soo-young slung her arm around Jung Soo-jung’s shoulders, cheerfully reassuring her.

"Yes, it’s Jessica’s way of showing her love for you, Soo-jung! All big sisters are like that!" Chen Zhe chimed in, then, as if recalling a certain demon, hurriedly shook his head to banish the thought.

"Sigh, I know, and I’ve gotten used to unnie’s ways." Listening to them, Jung Soo-jung sighed again, indicating she was already accustomed to it.

"By the way, noona, Soo-jung, have you had breakfast yet?" Chen Zhe suddenly asked, remembering something, feeling increasingly hungry.

"We haven’t eaten yet! Have you, Zhe?" Before Jung Soo-jung could answer, Choi Soo-young spoke up first.

Choi Soo-young had heard from her brother that his breakfast was often bought by his manager, usually Chinese-style. She’d seen the breakfast photos he’d sent, and had long been craving it.

"Well, I haven’t had breakfast either. Noona, Soo-jung, let’s eat together! I’ll have Qiu Ze buy Korean breakfast for us today." Hearing her, Chen Zhe nodded, taking out his phone to call Qiu Ze.

"Wait, when in Rome, do as the Romans do—we’ll just have Chinese breakfast like you!" Choi Soo-young quickly put her hand over Jung Soo-jung’s mouth before she could protest, eagerly addressing Chen Zhe.

"Alright, I understand! Hello, Qiu Ze? Please buy three extra breakfasts today. Yes, the same as what I usually have, just three more sets." After replying to Choi Soo-young, Chen Zhe connected the call, spoke with Qiu Ze for a bit, then hung up.

"Alright, noona, Soo-jung, let’s go find somewhere to sit and wait for breakfast. By the time we finish eating, the set should be ready." Chen Zhe put away his phone, looked back at Choi Soo-young and Jung Soo-jung, and extended his hand in invitation.
