With her own older sister holding her down, Oh Hayoung was never going to surrender that easily. Her first instinct, of course, was to fight back.

But before she could even begin, Kim Namjoo and Hong Yookyung rushed over as if they had received some silent command. In a flash, one seized each of Oh Hayoung’s arms, cutting off every possible path of resistance.

“Hehehe, youngest, be honest now and tell us what you were just doing!” At some point, Yoon Bomi had swapped the cucumber in her hand for a feather wand. With a strange smile on her face, she stood before Oh Hayoung and stepped closer, one pace at a time.

“No way! Let go of me! Chorong, save me!” Seeing Yoon Bomi advancing toward her with such overwhelming momentum, Oh Hayoung, unable to resist, turned her gaze to Park Chorong, who was standing nearby with her arms folded, watching the show, and cried out for help.

“It’s useless. Who do you think gave us the courage to go after you?” While Oh Hayoung was calling out to Park Chorong, Yoon Bomi had somehow already reached her and grabbed her ankle.

Some time later

Early the next morning, Chen Zhe was brought by Lin Soo-ho to the set of the music video shoot, where he watched the crew busily at work.

Because he had gotten up so early, Chen Zhe was still in a dazed, sleepy state. But since this was his first time on a shoot, curiosity kept him awake, and he looked around with bright-eyed interest.

At that moment, a black van slowly and discreetly drove onto the set. The instant Chen Zhe spotted it, his eyes lit up. He knew at once that it must be his close friend and the heroine of his music video, Jung Soojung.

After the black van found a proper place to stop, Chen Zhe grinned and strode over to greet the friend he had not seen in several days, and his leading lady.

He stood eagerly at the van door, ready to surprise his friend. But the moment the door opened and the woman stepped out, the excited expression on his face froze.

“Well, well, you little punk, what’s with that look? Not happy to see me?” The first woman to emerge from the van also noticed Chen Zhe standing by the door. A smile tugged at her lips, but after seeing his expression, her face fell immediately, and she planted her hands on her hips in obvious displeasure.

“No, no, of course I’m happy to see you, sis. It’s just that I haven’t seen you in so long, and I really missed you!” Looking at Choi Sooyoung before him, Chen Zhe’s brow twitched. He forcefully swallowed the impulse to curse under his breath and managed to squeeze out a stiff, ugly smile.

“Because the first person you saw was me instead of Soojung, you’re disappointed, aren’t you, brat?” Seeing Chen Zhe’s forced smile, Choi Sooyoung only grew more amused. She walked over to his side, draped an arm around his shoulder, and lowered her voice to whisper in his ear.

“Sooyoung, what are you whispering to Zhe about?” At that very moment, as Chen Zhe and Choi Sooyoung were speaking quietly to each other, a female voice Chen Zhe knew very well came from inside the van.

“Haven’t seen you in days, Zhe!” Hearing the voice, Chen Zhe looked up sharply toward the door and immediately saw Jung Soojung holding onto the door frame, smiling brightly at him and Choi Sooyoung as they whispered together.

“Why aren’t you going to take your leading lady’s hand? What are you standing there for?” Seeing that Chen Zhe was still frozen in place, Choi Sooyoung whispered one more sentence into his ear, then gave him a light push so he took a few steps forward.

After regaining his balance, Chen Zhe subconsciously turned his head and looked at Choi Sooyoung with a trace of surprise in his eyes, only to see her clench her fist and make an enthusiastic cheering gesture.

At her motion, Chen Zhe let out a helpless sigh. So that was it, sis—you’re trying to play matchmaker between me and Soojung now, aren’t you? Still, he did not hesitate for long. He took a few more steps and came to the rear door of the van.

“Cough, good morning, Miss Leading Lady!” Chen Zhe looked at Jung Soojung, who was still holding onto the door, cleared his throat on purpose, and then assumed the manner of an English gentleman as he courteously extended his hand.

“Yes, good morning, Mr. Leading Man!” Clearly not expecting Chen Zhe to play along like this, Jung Soojung paused for a moment, but she quickly recovered, broke into a smile, and very cooperatively placed her hand in his.

Holding Jung Soojung’s hand and feeling the warmth in her palm, Chen Zhe could not help but drift for a moment before his smile widened even more. Taking her hand, he helped her down from the van.

Seeing the handsome man and beautiful woman before her, Choi Sooyoung nodded in satisfaction. As expected, this younger brother of hers was not some block of wood after all.

He knew exactly how to make a girl happy. Yes, it had not been for nothing that she had created this opportunity for him. Choi Sooyoung thought this to herself and decided she would speak with Chen Zhe’s older sister, her best friend Chen Yuqi, to see how they could give these two another little push.

“Sis, Soojung, why did you come together today? Wasn’t it only Soojung who was supposed to come film the music video with me?” After Chen Zhe led Jung Soojung over to Choi Sooyoung’s side, he caught sight of that unmistakably amused, meddling smile on Choi Sooyoung’s face and finally realized he was still holding Jung Soojung’s hand. He hurriedly let go.

Then he asked why Choi Sooyoung had come with Jung Soojung today, trying to steer the conversation away and distract the two of them.

“Even though today was supposed to be just Soojung filming the music video with you, Jessica was worried about the two of you younger ones and wanted to come along. But just as we were about to leave, she suddenly got a last-minute schedule she had to rush off to!” Thinking of how Jung Sooyeon had clasped her hands together and pleaded with those pitiful eyes of hers, Choi Sooyoung could hardly stop herself from laughing.

“So why did you come, sis?” Chen Zhe still did not quite understand. Jung Sooyeon worried about the two of them, yet Choi Sooyoung was the one who came.

“Because I just happened to be free today while everyone else had schedules, Jessica asked me to come with Soojung. And since I also hadn’t seen you in a long time, I agreed.” Choi Sooyoung rose slightly onto her toes and patted Chen Zhe’s shoulder like a big sister.

“Yes, I’m still very grateful that Sooyoung came with me, even if I do think her worry is a little unnecessary.” Jung Soojung first shot Choi Sooyoung a thankful glance, then gave a somewhat helpless sigh.

“Hahaha, that’s just your sister caring about you!” Choi Sooyoung came over, looped an arm around Jung Soojung’s shoulder, and comforted her with a grin.

“Right, that’s also Jessica’s way of looking after you, Soojung. Sisters are all like that!” Chen Zhe added, then seemed to remember some devilish presence and quickly shook his head, trying to fling that figure out of his mind.

“Ah, I know. I’ve already gotten used to her being like this,” Jung Soojung said with another sigh, indicating that she was long since accustomed to it.
