He remembered that Qin Guosheng had strict rules: none of his subordinates, regardless of their status, were permitted to enter the ancestral estate. Qin Guosheng knew the nature of his business and understood how to protect his family. Consequently, for many years, few even knew how Qin Guosheng had built his fortune, so Lin Li’s appearance here was entirely unexpected.

"Uncle Lin, why... why are you here?" Qin Lang’s voice trembled slightly as he spoke. Having spent time with him, he knew that Lin Li rarely meddled in trivial matters. If Lin Li took the initiative to handle something, it meant the consequences were severe. The fact that Lin Li, who never set foot here, had personally arrived at the ancestral estate suggested he was planning to take action against the family.

"Is everyone inside?" Lin Li asked calmly. Qin Lang nodded repeatedly. "You’re not needed here. You may leave. If there are any questions, we will call you."

Qin Lang left cautiously, not daring to linger and risk offending Lin Li. Su Lan glanced at Lin Li. She had noticed that while Qin Lang once treated Lin Li differently out of respect for her, his current attitude was born of genuine fear, sparked by Lin Li’s overwhelming presence. It made her wonder: what exactly had he done? They did not dwell on the matter and stepped into the Qin family compound.

No sooner had they entered than a young man hurried toward them. "Why are you here?" He paused upon seeing Su Lan, his brow furrowing. When his gaze shifted to Lin Li, his expression grew even more hostile. "My uncle stated previously that his subordinates are not allowed to enter the Qin estate at will." The implication was clear: he wanted Lin Li to leave.

Before Su Lan could speak, Lin Li stepped forward. "Currently, the entire Qin Group relies on me and your aunt. You people sit in high positions, doing nothing but drawing salaries and throwing obstacles in my path. If this continues, I see no reason for the Qin family to exist."

Faced with this, Lin Li’s attitude was uncompromising. When Qin Guosheng was alive, he had shown them some respect, but what was left of the Qin family now? Although they held shares in the Qin Group, their incompetence would soon squander the entire family fortune. Lin Li had come to reclaim it; the family’s assets were far too precious to be wasted on such people.

"You brat, who do you think you are to talk back to me? Do you think I won't have you thrown out?" The young man was arrogant. He knew Lin Li was a former subordinate of Qin Guosheng, but he believed that didn't matter. He gestured for the security guards to come over. "I order you to throw this guy out immediately!"

The guards hesitated, looking at Lin Li with embarrassment. They were indeed responsible for the estate's security, but their true orders came from Lin Li. They turned to the young man and asked, "Young Master Qin, could you repeat that?"

The man standing before Lin Li was Qin Dongshuo, the son of the family's second brother, Qin Guoyu. Qin Dongshuo had been brimming with arrogance, but seeing the guards standing still, his gaze toward Lin Li became guarded. He realized that Lin Li’s power was not to be trifled with. Threats were easy, but if it came to a physical confrontation, the entire group of them might not be a match for Lin Li alone.

"Young Master Qin wants to remove me? Very well, why don't you try it yourself?" Lin Li squinted at him. "I will stand right here, perfectly still. I’d like to see just how much courage you really have."

Qin Dongshuo stood there, utterly humiliated. In truth, he had been completely cowed by Lin Li’s commanding presence.
