The Gates of Hell have opened, and the deathly black mist from the underworld shrouds this part of the city. Logically, under such terrifying circumstances, no ordinary human could possibly survive.
Yet, why is someone speaking in the darkness?
Tap, tap, tap...
The sound of leather shoes striking the ground.
Xie Jing had always preferred the comfort of sneakers, but after Akane Kamidera’s transformation, he discovered that dress shoes were quite decent—no need to tie laces, and very convenient.
He looked up at Diga, who lay collapsed on the ground, unable to rise.
In his perception, the omnipresent black mist was steadily siphoning the light from Diga’s body, leaving him without the strength to stand.
In the original series, Captain Megumi Jujian led the awakened survivors to turn on all the city’s lights—not to grant Diga the power of light, but simply to drive away the darkness, allowing Diga to move again.
“Da Gu, today I want you to witness what true combat means!”
A fire burned within Xie Jing’s heart, and he intended to unleash it, venting it ruthlessly upon the monster.
He did not plan to restore Diga’s strength just yet; instead, he cast a protective shield of light around him, keeping the black mist at bay.
The Kyrieloid laughed madly amidst the clouds. It was in high spirits—after lurking so long, it had finally defeated Ultraman. This apex of monstrosity delighted it immensely.
As for the defiance of a mere human, Kyrieloid didn’t spare it a second thought.
“Foolish, ignorant human, how dare you challenge the great and almighty Kyrieloid God! Prepare to face judgment!”
With a casual wave, a massive blast of energy shot toward Xie Jing.
Under the glare of the energy wave, Xie Jing—no bigger than an ant by human standards—would surely be obliterated, leaving not even a trace behind.
That was exactly what Kyrieloid expected. It savored the sight of the human below, hungry for a glimpse of terror in his eyes, for the ecstatic, dance-inducing screams.
But nothing of the sort appeared. Bathed in the energy wave’s light, Kyrieloid watched as the man’s dense, short hair fell away in an instant, revealing a shining, bald head.
Suddenly, an intense radiance erupted from the human, shooting skyward from the ground.
As the brilliance faded, a colossal figure over seventy meters tall, glowing with an ethereal light, stood upon the earth.
A luminous shield unfolded, effortlessly deflecting Kyrieloid’s energy blast.
Everything was handled with such ease, such nonchalance.
“What! Impossible!”
Kyrieloid could not believe it. On Earth, aside from Diga, another Ultraman had appeared!
This completely contradicted everything it knew.

Standing high above, feeling the wind at that altitude, Xie Jing clenched his fists tightly, specks of luminescence swirling with every motion.
Power—this was true power!
In the car, Rina and Megumi Jujian were overjoyed. “It’s Fujii! He’s really here!”
“Wonderful!”
The distant onlookers had been terrified when Diga fell. If even the Guardian of Earth had been defeated, was humanity doomed?
But in their deepest despair, a new Ultraman appeared.
An Ultraman adorned with intricate patterns, exuding a powerful aura from head to toe.
Hope rekindled in their hearts.
No one knew who started it, but someone shouted first—
“Ultraman! Go for it!”
“Ultraman! Gambatte!”
From one person, to one street, to the whole city!
Their cheers echoed everywhere, reaching Xie Jing’s ears.
A force called faith surged through his body—he could feel his power slowly increasing.
Yet Xie Jing paid it no mind. The system had thoroughly transformed his body; as long as there was light, his power would never fade!
Today, he fought for Akane Kamidera, for the innocent, for those pitiful souls deceived by hope!
He was furious.
“Ugh... Ah!”
His fists clenched tighter, his legs braced. With a thunderous crack, his massive form appeared before Kyrieloid in an instant.
“You—”
Before Kyrieloid could finish speaking, a fist the size of a cauldron smashed into its face, launching it backward and slamming it against the Gates of Hell.
Boom!
A deafening sound—the gates slammed shut under the force.
Kyrieloid climbed to its feet, glaring at the glowing Ultraman before it.
“Heh heh heh... It’s useless! You can’t defeat the great Kyrieloid God!”
Crossing its arms above its head, it gathered green light, ready to retract its wings and enter ground-combat mode.

But how could Xie Jing let such a chance slip by? He closed the distance, hammering a fist into Kyrieloid’s chest—snuffing out the green light instantly and sending the monster flying backward once more.
“Da Gu, watch closely! Never give a monster the chance to transform! If you see an opening, strike without hesitation!”
“This punch is for Akane Kamidera!”
As Kyrieloid was flung away, Xie Jing, moving at blinding speed, appeared behind it. Light gathered in both hands, forming two sharp, glowing swords.
He thrust forward—the swords pierced effortlessly through both sides of Kyrieloid’s chest. A torrent of green blood erupted, and the monster howled in agony.
“Da Gu, think more about using the light! Don’t rely solely on beam attacks—light swords and spears can be immensely effective in battle!”
“This sword is for the ordinary people who died! You let them die right before my eyes!”
As the swords vanished, Kyrieloid plummeted from the sky, crashing to earth in a cloud of dust.
“How... how can you be this strong!” Kyrieloid stared up in disbelief at Xie Jing hovering above, dread settling in its heart.
In those mere seconds, it had been beaten mercilessly. Its vaunted strength and skills were worthless.
“What kind of Ultraman are you? Why have I never heard of you!”
With its will to fight crumbling, Kyrieloid gathered its strength and fired over a dozen energy spheres at Xie Jing.
Yet as they approached, each one exploded prematurely, filling the sky with fire and smoke, rendering everything hazy.
Seizing the opportunity, Kyrieloid’s wings beat as it turned and fled toward a distant patch of sky.
“Hahahaha! Ultraman, the great Kyrieloid God will never be defeated! I’ll be back! And when I return, it will be your and Diga’s day of reckoning!”
The typical villain’s reaction—uttering threats while making a hasty escape.
Xie Jing had always despised this trope in movies. The fleeing villain would inevitably return at a critical moment to torment the protagonist, usually resulting in the childhood friend’s death, after which the hero would vanquish the villain and weep bitterly over their loss.
But in reality, Xie Jing would never leave such a threat behind!
“You think you can just run off without my say-so?” Kyrieloid was about to leave the planet when it saw, waiting ahead in the sky, that towering, glowing figure.
“Da Gu, this is my final lesson for you!”
“When facing an enemy, show no mercy! If you can destroy them, then destroy them! Never leave future trouble behind!”
A deafening roar erupted in the sky, followed by a massive fireball. Then, a figure plummeted rapidly from above.
A voice rang down from the heavens:
“This is for all those who longed for a better life, yet were deceived by you!”
