Chapter 27: The Next Lesson—War Wolf and Heavy Breaker
"Alright, there's not much information about Wolf Warrior...""Great, does that mean we're done here?""Not so fast. There are still two other mechas left to introduce.""Oh, come on!"
"Okay, as for Wolf Warrior, I've already mentioned a little. Its 9mm rounds were found to inflict greater damage on the Satans than rifles or snipers did before mechas existed. Because of this, the 9mm pistol became the standard weapon against Satans. Later, since submachine guns used pistol rounds from the outset, they gradually replaced handguns. Still, even with weapons effective against Satans, infection could not be avoided, so the invention of the Wolf Warrior became urgent."
"The first Wolf Warrior was created by someone at our research institute who wishes to remain anonymous—why, we do not know. Nevertheless, its appearance greatly reduced casualties. Its long-range attacks can eliminate the three most common types of Satans: the mass-produced model, the Venom, and the Mimic."
"But that wasn't enough, so we had to upgrade the original Wolf Warrior model. The first upgrade mirrored the Knight's direction, resulting in the speed-agile Wolf Warrior X. Since the Wolf Warrior was already focused on speed and agility, we simply added an 'X' to denote its enhanced performance. The upgraded speed was impressive, but since its inner blade proved of little use, we removed it. The second, the defensive War Elephant, as the name suggests, thickened its armor to rival an elephant's hide, though its speed suffered somewhat. The last is the War Lion, designed for attack: its blade lengthened, bullet capacity increased, though agility may have declined."
"That's the introduction to Wolf Warrior. Next, although Hawk Eye comes before in chronology, since Heavy Breaker is the invention of our Israeli allies, let's cover Heavy Breaker first. Israel is a military powerhouse; in your era, its military strength surged, allowing it to annex half the Arabian Peninsula in one fell swoop. Afterwards, the Israelis began developing electromagnetic military technology, pioneering the heavy strike cannon. Initially, the cannon was enormous, akin to an artificial satellite. Later, they managed to shrink the components, making it the size of a shoulder-fired rocket launcher. It posed a threat to us, but as allies, we let it be. The armor of Heavy Breaker serves only as a powered exoskeleton and for basic protection. The real danger lies in its heavy strike cannon, which works by drastically increasing the surface temperature of the target—raising it to over a thousand degrees, I believe. The extreme heat destroys the Satans' cellular structures, achieving extermination. Its lethality forced other mechas to upgrade their resistance to high temperatures. The newly upgraded version reduced the cannon's charging time and recoil, incorporated more coolant, and extended its operational duration. There is only one version, codenamed 'Monarch of Annihilation.'"
"Finally, our Hawk Eye mecha—I'll save that for next time."

Writing at one in the morning is a miracle. No choice; my mother unexpectedly dragged me out to meet her friends, and we didn't get home until after eleven. So now, I'm writing in the dead of night. It's one a.m., I'm exhausted, and it's time for bed.
