Yang Xiaofan had said those last few words on purpose.

First of all, he was determined to acquire the Zheng Group. All of the company's business data was stored within its internal network; no one else would dare to bid on it without being able to unlock that system. And the only person capable of doing that was Yang Xiaofan himself. It would be a crying shame to let such a massive piece of fat go to waste.

As for taking care of Mu Shuyu, that was just a joke—he had said it purely to get under Zheng Kang’s skin.

"Yang Xiaofan! You animal! I’ll kill you! I’ll definitely kill you! Even as a ghost, I won’t let you go!"

Zheng Kang roared in a rage, looking like a wild demon crawled straight out of hell. Had his hands not been shackled, he would have lunged at Yang Xiaofan to tear him apart with his own teeth.

Yang Xiaofan didn't even bother to look back. It wouldn't be long before Zheng Kang became a dead man, while he himself would continue to live a happy life in this world.

Stepping out of the building, Yang Xiaofan retrieved his phone and saw a barrage of missed calls and messages, all from people worried about his safety. He sent out a mass text, stretched his limbs, and walked toward the Rolls-Royce Cullinan pulling up to the curb. His wife had come to pick him up; life was good.

"Xiaofan, are you okay?"

As soon as Qin Nuanyu pulled the car over, she rushed out and threw herself into his arms, checking him over to make sure he was in one piece. A wave of warmth washed over Yang Xiaofan. This feeling of being cared for was wonderful—it made him feel that he wasn't alone in this world.

He ruffled her hair and comforted her, "Don't worry, I'm fine. Zheng Kang tried to frame me, but I had recorded everything, so his scheme didn't work."

Hearing that he was unharmed, Qin Nuanyu finally let out a sigh of relief. "As long as you're safe. If anything happened to you, I really wouldn't know what to do."

"I haven't even seen our son born yet. Besides, I plan on growing old with you, so I’m certainly not going to let anything happen to me before then."

"Mm!" Qin Nuanyu nodded. Suddenly, a joyous exclamation rang out near them.

"Look, isn't that the brother-in-law?"
"It's him! The most popular brother-in-law on the internet, Yang Xiaofan!"
"He's so handsome! Brother-in-law, can I have your autograph?"

Yang Xiaofan took one look and his face went pale. Oh, crap. He’d been spotted by fans.

"Get in the car, let's go!"
"Okay!"

Qin Nuanyu didn't dare to hesitate and immediately followed him. Once they were inside, Yang Xiaofan floored the gas pedal and vanished around the corner without looking back.

Though the morning had started with a nuisance from Zheng Kang, Yang Xiaofan had cleared his name of all involvement in the matter, so his mood remained fairly good. The two of them grabbed a meal that covered both lunch and dinner before heading to various car dealerships.

Yang Xiaofan had originally considered buying a Maybach, but decided it was too flashy and settled for an Audi A8 instead. He skipped the BMW 7 Series; people who drove those usually thought they were hot-shot race car drivers, but in the eyes of others, they just looked like nouveau riche types dripping in gold chains. Yang Xiaofan preferred the understated, professional look of the A8.

After getting the new car, he left the Rolls-Royce at an auction house and instructed Gu Hao to take it out for a drive every now and then. This would make people think he was still in Subei, saving him from a lot of unnecessary trouble.

Three days later, he took Qin Nuanyu back to her hometown.

"Xiaofan, my parents are about to meet yours. I'm so nervous." Qin Nuanyu was worried that their parents might not get along, which would leave her in a very difficult position.

Yang Xiaofan smiled and reassured her, "Don't worry. You've met my parents—they're just simple, honest country folk. They don't have ulterior motives and don't have bad tempers. There’s no way they'll have any conflict with your parents."

Qin Nuanyu shook her head slightly. "I'm not worried about your parents; I'm worried about my dad. You know how he is—he has such a foul temper and loves to put on airs."

Yang Xiaofan couldn't help but twitch at the comment. If even a daughter as sweet as Qin Nuanyu thought that about her father, he must really be a piece of work. Still, as the future son-in-law, he decided to put in a good word.

"Don't worry, your father is actually quite alright. He only had such a strong prejudice against me because I 'stole' his daughter. Now that he's already given his blessing, there won't be any more drama."

"I hope so." Qin Nuanyu touched her stomach and smiled. "I wonder if the baby is a boy or a girl."

Yang Xiaofan paused. He had completely forgotten about that. He had previously used his "God-Making" abilities to enhance his vision, but hadn't quite reached the level where he could see through her abdomen clearly. Now that his physique had reached the level of a "Saint," his vision had likely improved significantly.

With that thought, he focused his gaze. In the next moment, a crystalline, adorable little figure appeared in his view. The tiny form was so cute that his heart skipped a beat. How could a baby be so small? It was no bigger than an egg—it was so precious it made his heart melt.

Most importantly, he noticed there wasn't a "pit," but rather a tiny, tail-like appendage. So... he was going to have a son?

Oh, crap. Why couldn't it have been a daughter?

Yang Xiaofan’s expression dimmed, and he let out a soft sigh.

"What's wrong?" Qin Nuanyu asked, surprised.

"Nothing. It's a son. I was kind of hoping for a daughter—I could have spoiled her and made her the happiest little princess in the world."

Qin Nuanyu couldn't help but chuckle, pursing her lips. "Are you crazy? How would you know it's a boy? And stop pretending you wanted a girl."

Yang Xiaofan gave a bitter smile, unable to explain further. The "God-Making Project" was his deepest secret and couldn't be easily revealed. He couldn't tell her he had actually seen their son.

But having a son... that was such a headache. They were naughty, disobedient, and would cost him a fortune—he'd have to buy him a house and a wife later on. And the worst part? When he was a baby, he would even steal his own mother's milk!

What a headache!
