Chapter 25: Returning to the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths
(Page 1/3)
(The first day since returning to the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths)
With these words, a full moon manifested behind Taiyin. Its phases rotated ceaselessly, eventually collapsing into a mass of lightless, pure black, becoming the ultimate dark and somber night.
Simultaneously, the Taiyin Moon Blade at his waist left its sheath. He gripped it with both hands, channeling the vast, abyssal power of the Ultimate Yin into the weapon.
In total silence, the myriad DAOs recoiled. The remnants of the Immortal Domain laws lingering in the void of the Immortal Path, along with the traces of the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths' laws, were torn asunder together.
The void within the boundary wall of the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths was forcibly ripped open, revealing a massive fissure erupting with endless immortal light and lightning.
Taiyin stepped right into it.
Inside the spacetime tunnel, boundless chaos qi surged violently. Immeasurable radiance bloomed, and endless immortal light and heavenly punishment thunder roared frantically.
It was much like a foreign object entering a living body, triggering an immune system counterattack. This was the instinctive rejection response from the boundary wall of the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths.
The so-called Immortal Path was an external organ-like construct, forged from a combination of fragments of the Immortal Domain's boundary and the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths' boundary, fused by their shared laws.
Before the Immortal Path officially opened at the correct time and place, any attempt to force one's way in from the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, or to push out from within the Immortal Path toward the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, was akin to a pathogen invading a body or internal flesh trying to burst out.
Either act would provoke the instinctive rejection of the cosmic boundary, triggering a massive catastrophe. Even for a Supreme Being of the Extreme Path, this required one's full strength to survive.
Long ago, when the Human Emperor Taiyin was heavily wounded by the colossal power of the Boundary Sea—his primordial spirit and physical body shattered, and he was left on the brink of death after encountering some bizarre horror—it was precisely because his injuries were too severe that he could not withstand this rejection. He was forced to abandon half his broken body, which fell onto the Immortal Path.
Consequently, when he finally returned home, he could not even leave behind a complete corpse.
At the end of the surging chaos qi, a faint glimmer appeared. Taiyin gazed into the distance, vaguely sensing the familiar aura of his homeland’s laws. His eyes complex, he murmured:
"My homeland, to which I have not returned for hundreds of thousands of years... I have returned!"
He waved his hand and struck again with his blade.

In the universe known as the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, in a region where the stars were dim and lifeless, devoid of any vitality or spiritual energy, where even space and time were nearly stagnant, and beyond which only endless chaos qi remained—
The desolate frontier of the universe, which should have been dark and lightless, suddenly erupted with brilliant radiance.
As heavenly tribulation clouds covered dozens of light-years, with endless lightning dancing and phantoms of flying immortals appearing, a massive hole filled with a destructive aura suddenly exploded into the void.
Amidst the endless thunder of heavenly punishment, a formidable pressure, powerful enough to collapse galaxies, diffused outward. It forcibly erased the tribulation clouds that spanned dozens of light-years, causing the myriad DAOs in the void to resonate and the laws of the heavens to manifest.
The imprint that the Human Emperor Taiyin had inscribed into the myriad DAOs of heaven and earth during his enlightenment in the ancient Primordial Era—which had gradually faded over the passage of time—suddenly resonated.
As if injected with a potent stimulant, it rose fiercely, using its own power to press the other laws of heaven and earth beneath its feet.
Across the entire universe, in one Life Exclusion Zone after another, those Ancient Supreme Beings—who had spent the past few days dividing the law-cubes filled with infinite immortal energy, retreating to their zones to absorb the immortal substances and restore their strength—all opened their eyes.
The universe is vast; for the weak, even traveling at the speed of light for tens of billions of years would not reach its end.
But for the strong, the universe is small. When acting with full power, they can cross from one end to the other in mere moments.
For the Supreme-level beings standing at the pinnacle of the realm, any anomaly caused by their peers in the universe is hard to hide from their perception, provided no powerful deception arrays have been pre-arranged.
Whether it was the Primordial Ancient Mine, Mount Undying, the Immortal Tomb, the Sea of Reincarnation, or the Underworld...
Every Supreme Being in every exclusion zone throughout the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, as well as those above the level of Quasi-Emperor, sensed the leakage of weak law-auras suspected to be from the Immortal Domain, along with the resonance of the myriad DAOs.
As for the weak who had not yet become Emperors, they were already numb.
They no longer had the heart to wail and roar as they had a few days ago—(The Heavenly Dao is unfair! Why has someone already attained enlightenment as a Great Emperor just as the Golden Age has begun?)
They had just been shocked by the dozens of extreme-path pressures filling the universe a few days ago, and now, there was simply one more.
...
Deep within the Primordial Ancient Mine, endless immortal energy pervaded the air.
The many ancient royal clans, who had sealed their entire tribes since ancient times waiting for the opening of the Immortal Path on the Big Dipper star, had all long since awakened.
In one of the grand mine caverns, a chaotic secret realm had been carved out. The Dark Nether Clan and the Light Clan, who had been mortal enemies in the ancient past but reconciled due to the birth of a forbidden child, resided there together.
(Page 3/3)
The Great Saints and Quasi-Emperor level experts of both clans had all awakened, paying homage to a mysterious figure residing in the center who possessed the characteristics of both, an intertwining of light and dark.
There, chaos qi surged, and extreme light and extreme darkness alternated and flickered.
Every instant, power equivalent to a full-force strike from a Supreme Being—enough to erase a patch of the starry sky—surged there.
Chains of laws, woven from the White Tiger and Vermillion Bird principles, surged continuously from a gold-red cube, only to be forcibly suppressed by a massive hand.
This hand, like a black hole, continuously decomposed the law-chains—which would have caused massive destruction over hundreds of thousands of light-years—into dense immortal energy, filling the entire mine.
From this, it extracted a weak but constant stream of immortal substance sufficient to mend cracks in the Sendai.
The owner of this hand, the Primordial Emperor known as the Light and Dark Supreme, suddenly frowned. Divine light flashed in his eyes as he stared at the cosmic frontier: "What?"
He recalled a humiliating battle he had once encountered while awake and hunting sentient beings during the Primordial Era, and his expression turned somewhat ugly.
"This aura? It is the Human Emperor Taiyin! How is this possible?"
"He clearly failed his assault on the Immortal Path and was on the brink of death! He fell from the Immortal Path dragging half his broken body, and it was I who personally dealt him the final blow to plunder his essence!"
"Why! Why has he suddenly come back to life? Could it be that he has truly become an immortal?"
The expression of the Light and Dark Supreme was volatile. A faint pressure of the Extreme Path diffused with his emotions, causing the bones of the Quasi-Emperor level experts of the Light and Dark clans who were paying him homage to creak, blood spilling from their lips.
"Hmph!" With a cold snort, the Light and Dark Supreme opened his mouth and swallowed the law-cube into his body, suppressing and refining it with his Ancient Emperor weapon—the Light Staff and Dark Shield.
He then began to walk outward.
He was going to visit the other Ancient Emperors and Celestial Venerables who had once launched the Dark Turmoil with him, those who had engaged in fierce battles with the Human Emperor Taiyin and held grudges against him.
Vaguely, a cold voice emerged: "Hmph! Taiyin, even if you have truly become an immortal, so what? It is no longer the past. We have all obtained these treasures fallen from the Immortal Realm and restored ourselves to our peak state. Even if we sublimate to the extreme, we will not suffer much damage."
"What of becoming an immortal? We shall slaughter the immortal! The grudges of the past are now ready to be brought to an end..."
